North Star Resort offers a wide variety of daily fly-out options. Experience the feeling of being the only one on the water and try out additional world class fishing, just minutes away from the main lodge, for Pike, Walleye, Lake Trout and Sea-Run Brook Trout at our following fly-out locations:

Bear Lake

Whether it's the East or West End, Bear Lake is simply a Pike factory. We like to call it a Semmens Lake times 10. Being a predominantly shallow, dark water lake, Bear has over 40 miles of prime weed beds, black bottom bays, reefs, creeks and untouched river systems. The key to this lake is its never-ending forage supply. Walleyes, Perch, Suckers and Whitefish are thick in this water system and so are the Pike. Bear Lake has what it takes to be the top trophy Pike Lake hands down.

Semmens Lake

Pike fishing just doesn't get any better than it does at Semmens Lake. Being one of the top trophy Pike lakes for the past 5 years Semmens has fast action and an impressive average size. There is consistently a large number of trophy Pike caught here every season and remains a favorite fly out for many. Semmens has 15 miles of prime Pike habitat.

New addition for 2005. Holds Trophy Pike and Walleye.

Hayes River

"The Ultimate Fly-Fishing Adventure!" A fly-fishing only trip for huge native and Sea-Run Brook Trout up to 26 inches so far. Indulge among true untouched and untamed wilderness on one of Canada's most historic rivers. This fly-out option comes as a day or overnight trip and runs from mid June to the end of August. The Hayes has some of the best fly-fishing in the world and Knee Lake guests have exclusive access.
